You can use the screen as a keyboard. Or if you are seeking a more laptop-like experience, we recommend purchasing the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Type Cover. Unbox your Surface Pro. Install the battery on your Surface by unscrewing the back of the pen and placing the battery with the positive end towards the tip. Flip the attached kickstand to the position you want, and [? plug-in. ?] Press the power button. Then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows out-of-box experience. To ensure your device gets the most current software updates, connect to the internet and log in to your Microsoft account if you have one.
