A great way to build a better password is use something that is not something somebody can easily find out. Nothing that you have posted out there on social media. The more random, the better. Lots of capitals, lowercase, numbers, throw in an apostrophe, throw in a hash mark. If you're given a limit of 20 characters, go for the gold. Go for that full 20 characters, definitely. Another really good thing that people are doing nowadays is some sort of a passphrase, doing like a sentence. When I grow up, I want to be a fireman. Something personal, something that nobody else is going to guess. Definitely don't use the word password for your password. You don't want to do that. they Don't use anything that's sequential-- 1-1-1-1, 1-2-3-4, 9-8-7-6. On a numeric pad, don't go straight down. Don't do the four corners. Don't do an X. Don't use your mom and dad's name. Don't use your name reversed. Don't use your birthdate. If your dog's name is Butch, don't make your password Butch. And you definitely never want to write down your password. Always keep it in here.
