Art Card: Pokémon Trading Card Game Logo and FAQ Series Energy Logo
Narrator says: Energy cards are a vital part of your deck in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Energy cards are used to power up attacks that help you defeat your opponent’s Pokémon. Energy cards are attached by placing them under the Pokémon, and they remain with the Pokémon until an effect or action removes them.
Flame cut scene. A Pokémon Trading Card board game is commencing in the background showing a Charmeleon card. "Name" (upper left), "Hit Points" (upper right), "Attack Cost" (middle left), sections are all pointed out on card. Attack Cost sections are quickly highlighted showing that they utilize Fire energy while 2 Fire energy cards are shown placed under the Charmeleon card.
Narrator continues saying: Players may attach only one Energy card per turn. You’ll match the Energy symbols in your Pokémon’s attack costs with the symbols on the Energy card.
Fire energy card is brought forward, with the Charmeleon card shortly coming forward as well next to it. Fire symbol is highlighted in the Attack Cards section of the Charmeleon card and then on the Fire Energy card shown.
Narrator says: A Colorless Energy symbol in an attack cost is like a wild card—you can use any type of Energy to power up that attack. Energy comes in a variety of types including Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Psychic, Fighting, Darkness, Metal, and Fairy.
Colorless energy symbol (white) is pointed out on Charmeleon card, all different energy cards are then shown to display how this represents a wild card. Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Psychic, Fighting, Darkness, Metal, and Fairy displayed.
Narrator continues: Energy cards are discarded from the Pokémon when it retreats.
Retreat section on bottom right of the card is highlighted and then the Charmeleon card and its connected Energy cards are shown retreating to the bench and being replace by a Kangaskhan card and Energy card.
Camera zooms out and Art Card is displayed with Pokémon Trading Card Game Logo and FAQ Series Energy Logo.
