- Hello, and welcome to Expert Picks: Gifts You'll Love Edition. I'm Ryan, a Home Expert from Best Buy. Today, I'll walk you through a few gift ideas for your loved ones or maybe yourself. After all, there's nothing wrong with a little self-gifting now and then. You've earned it, right? I'm gonna walk you through four items that I think are perfect gifts to give and I'll give you my perspective on each. All right, here we go. The Sonos Arc is a smart, premium soundbar for TV, movies, music, gaming, and more. Inside this sleek body, there are 11 speakers, three tweeters for high frequency sounds and eight midwoofers that take care of the mid-range and bass. Two things I really like about the Sonos Arc. It supports Dolby Atmos with enhanced, Trueplay Tuning technology. This optimizes the sound for the room, calibrating the channels for precise localization. It even has speakers pointing up and to the side to reflect sound off the ceiling and walls. This creates an encompassing sound field around you when you're watching Dolby Atmos-encoded content. The Arc is also great for listening to music especially through the Sonos app and Apple AirPlay too, or by simply using your voice via devices like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Sonos Voice Control. The Arc was made by Oscar-winning engineers to emphasize the human voice. So especially when you're watching a movie, you can always follow the story. So if you have someone in your family that loves listening to music or a friend that loves watching movies, I suggest checking out the Sonos Arc Sound Bar. Now we're gonna switch gears to a completely different type of gift. This could be for someone that wants to mix up their walks or bike rides to work every day, or someone who just likes to feel the wind through their hair. Here we have the Segway Ninebot D40X Kickscooter. This electric scooter has some great features, such as the ability to use it sitting or standing, regenerative braking, and Bluetooth connectivity to communicate with the Segway Ninebot app. The included seat is made of a highly elastic foam sponge and can be attached to the footboard. This is great for those longer rides or when you just don't feel like standing. However, if standing is a more comfortable option, just remove the seat and it can be used like a traditional scooter. You can cruise at your preferred riding style with three different modes, eco, standard, and sport. Once you've activated the scooter in the Segway Ninebot app, you'll be able to access all three modes with a few clicks on the LED dashboard. To help get the most out of the battery, the regenerative braking collects energy and makes it available when it's needed most. This will give you the maximum amount of range when riding. I thought the features in the Segway Ninebot app were awesome. All you do is connect a smartphone to the scooter via Bluetooth and the app will give you access to riding stats, the ability to lock and unlock the scooter for security, cruise control, and firmware updates that will help improve the scooter over time. All in all, this scooter's really fun to ride and if someone in your family wants something like this as a gift, definitely check out the Segway Ninebot D40X Kickscooter with the seat included. There's almost always a gaming gift on somebody's wishlist. To check that off the list, I'd recommend the Nintendo Switch OLED Model. This is the newest console to join the Nintendo Switch lineup. The Nintendo Switch OLED Model's biggest difference when compared to the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite is the screen. OLED technology is used, which results in richer colors and deeper black levels when you're gaming. The screen on the Nintendo Switch OLED is also larger than the Nintendo Switch, a seven inch screen compared to a 6.2 inch screen. This plus the smaller bezels on the Nintendo Switch OLED Model mean the display feels much larger than the Nintendo Switch, especially when you're using it in tabletop or handheld mode. Storage capacity has also been bumped up. It has 64 gigabytes of internal storage and can still accept micro SD cards if you need more space. If the person you decide to give this to already has Nintendo Switch games, Joy-Con, or the Pro Controller, these are all compatible with the Nintendo Switch OLED. The Nintendo Switch OLED Model is a great, versatile gaming system. It can be played in Handheld mode, in tight places with Tabletop mode, and connected to a larger screen in TV mode. It's perfect for the avid gamer in your family. And since we're on the topic of Nintendo Switch, I've gotta talk about Nintendo's Splatoon 3. This is the next game in the Splatoon series. It's a third-person shooter where you have weapons that allow you to cover the landscape in ink. It's a genuinely fun game and it's surprising how satisfying it is to try and cover the ground with as much ink as possible in various ways. There's a single player campaign for those that like to play solo. And you can also jump online for multiplayer in a variety of game modes. Turf War will set two teams to battle it out to see who can cover the most ground with their team's ink color. As expected, things get a little messy. Well, really messy, actually. There's also a Salmon Run where four players can work together and take on waves of Salmonid bosses. Teamwork is essential to your success in this one. If you're picking up the Nintendo Switch OLED Model as a gift for somebody, even if it's for yourself, Splatoon 3 just might be the perfect game to accompany it. Phew, that was a lot of info. Let's do a quick recap. If you need a gift for somebody that's interested in taking their home entertainment system to the next level, the Sonos Arc soundbar is my pick. If you need a a gift for someone who wants to cruise around town in a fun way, the Segway Ninebot D40X Kickscooter with the seat might just be for them. To satisfy the needs of the family gamer, check out the Nintendo Switch OLED so they can game at home and on-the-go. And consider buying them Splatoon 3 so you can crush wave after wave of Salmonid bosses. All right, thanks for tuning in To Expert Picks: Gifts You'll Love Edition.
