Pebble smart watch is a great companion to your smartphone. It's great for noisy situations when you might otherwise miss a call or maybe can't find your phone in the bottom of your purse or gym bag. And it even tells the time. Setting up your Pebble watch to receive phone calls and text alerts only takes a few minutes. After you take it out of the packaging, the battery will likely only have a partial charge, and needs to be fully charged before working reliably.
We always recommend fully charging new devices prior to using them. We know it's hard to wait. You can go ahead and set it up while it's charging. Plug the USB port into your computer and connect the charger to the charging port on the left side of the watch below the back button. The screen should light up immediately. Grab your phone and install the official Pebble app.
Create an account and walk through the set up prompts, including pairing it with your phone. Just make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone so that it connects with your watch. Take a few minutes to download and install any updates. The app on your phone will walk through the steps and push the updates directly to your watch. Success.
The app also does a great job of walking you through the notification set up. Test it out when you're done to make sure everything paired correctly. If you're not receiving notifications on the watch, check your Bluetooth settings and make sure the Pebble app is running in the background. Now that your phone and watch are talking, visit the Pebble app store, where you'll find more than 1,000 apps made specifically for your watch.
