The Xbox One is an all-in-one gaming console with new features that allow you to seamlessly watch TV and movies, while playing your favorite games. For starters, don't throw away the box. It could be used as a carrying case, allowing you to transport your console safely.
Connect the HDMI cable, included with the console, to your TV and the Xbox. Then, connect the console to your cable or satellite box. There should be an existing HDMI cable connecting your TV to the cable box. Unplug it from your TV and then plug it into the HDMI import on the console. Plug the Xbox One in and put the batteries in the controller.
For the fastest gaming experience, we recommend hard-wiring your Xbox One to your router or modem. If you're connecting to the internet wirelessly, follow the on-screen prompts.
Create an Xbox Live account and navigate through the setup process, including your username and password. Take a few minutes to download and install any updates. Once the setup is complete, download some of your favorite apps and games.
For the ultimate Xbox One experience, check out Xbox Live at xbox.com. It's a membership that gives you access to exclusive game discounts in the Xbox store and the most advanced multi-player experience.
