Terri Borkland You know, just standing on the deck hearing you can hear trees rustle the birds.[Light background music] Jeff Zoller If I can hear a Northern Waterthrush [bird sounds] from a half mile away and a Canadian lake [running lake sound] that I haven't heard for years, that's an old friend. Terri Borkland I'm hearing so much more of a surround [tennis racket sounds] that it's it's fun. Jeff Zoller It's given me some of the most important aspects of my life back [music]. Terri Borkland My name is Terri Borkeland. I'm from Delaware, and I've been wearing hearing aids for about four years now. Jeff Zoller My name is Jeff Zoller. I'm from upstate New York, and I've been wearing hearing aids for about three years. I just really didn't think I was a candidate. I was kind of faking it and guessing what people were saying. And and it wasn't working. Terri Borkland It was just my mental health, the ability to feel like you're a part of a conversation and not just trying to read lips or not catch it all or answer a question that really wasn't asked of you. That was on my forefront to make sure that I was able to hear it at a level that I could I could feel comfortable in a room, in a meeting, etc.. Jeff Zoller They were on the spot, had them in my mailbox and two days or three days and I'm whole. Terri Borkland Once it came, I immediately set up the charging station. What I love about the charging station, there's a magnetic piece to it that snaps it back in, which is great. You know, which one's the right, You know which one is the left? I read through the instructions. It was very, very easy to set my hearing immediately, and the easiest part was just putting them in. I almost felt like they had measured my ear and they knew that this was going to fit my ears. It was perfect. You're coming out of a setting of your own home. You're used to that environment, but then you walk into another environment and you don't have that ability without hearing aids to adjust it. But you do with the Lexie app. Jeff Zoller You can go right side, left side, adjustable volume on one side, and you can also use the treble and the bass and what environment? My wife and I went to play 18 holes of golf yesterday, so I just set it for outdoors, put the treble down, had the volume at 50% because I didn't want to walk around my phone. Jeff Zoller And that's where we played for three and a half hours. And I could hear the birds.[Golf ball putt sounds] I could hear talk, [bird sounds] “where's my ball?”. Easy Terri Borkland With the Lexi app, you can set the the restaurant, the indoor, you can set the outside. It's such a confidence builder that whatever I'm doing that day, the Lexie app is going to fix itself to indoor outdoor. It's carefree to a certain extent because I don't have to worry about it after I put them in. I am ecstatic for my family and for myself. Jeff Zoller Conversations at the family dinner table, watching a movie that I don't have to put on the subtitles for anymore. Terri Borkland Everyone's happy just to be able to know that I'm engaging in the conversation that we're all having. Get the hearing aids because the miracle is to put a hearing aid in and all of a sudden bring it to a level where you can hear everything. Jeff Zoller It's actually enhanced my life. If you're missing something and it comes back and you didn't think it was going to come back, that's a gift. Terri Borkland Try them. Hear around you hear in different environments.
